At Alacrous, we work for giving work experience to willing high school students via internships and volunteer-ships. After each volunteer ship, we add the students to our community group, Alacrites Family, to stay connected and network among each other. One day, one of the volunteers in our group needed a Covid-lead for oxygen and beds in Delhi, for her family. Seeing the overwhelming response by the members of the group, I had an idea to formalize and redirect this energy for the greater good.
I realized that if we just take a little help from our company's Tech and Support team, we would be able to build a website, which we can link to a database where all the members from this group, myself included, will work on researching, verifying and publishing leads.
Thus began the journey towards building and operating an initiative to help those who need it so badly, in this time of crises.
